Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a question you want an answer to about our business or products? Below we've written the most 'frequently asked questions' people ask us on a day to day basis. Check then out below...

Q. Do You Have Bigger Sizes Than Your 100g Tube For Sale?

A. Unfortunately at this stage our sunscreen doesn't come in any size bigger than a 100g tube yet, however, as we grow and expand we will be looking to have it in 500g pump packs (as we have had A LOT of people inquire about it). If you too would like to see Seagull Milk in a 500g pump pack for either a commercial business or regular family use... shoot us through a message on our contact page to let us know it is of interest to you!

Q. How Do You Milk Seagulls To Make Your Sunscreen?

A. Believe it or not our sunscreen has absolutely nothing to do with seagulls or their milk at all, so no, we don't milk seagulls at all to make our sunscreen! We think it a pretty catchy and original name, if we do say so ourselves. Seagull Milk first originated on a trip to Byron Bay where our 15-year old founder was brainstorming potential names to call his sunscreen with his friends before heading out for a surf.

Q. What Does It Mean If My Seagull Milk Is No Longer Pure White?

If your sunscreen seems to have a slight 'grey' colouring, you don't need to worry! The vanilla fragrance in our formula will eventually darken making the sunscreen not look pure white. This won't affect what it will look like on your skin once rubbed in and does absolutely no damage to the formulation or sunscreens performance under the sun!

Q. Are Your Products Professionally Tested And Certified?

A. You bet! Seagull Milk is a sunscreen (classified as a therapeutic product), so by the Australian Law it must be tested before being sold, ensuring it is safe to use and meets the high regulation of the TGA (therapeutic goods association).

Q. Where Are Your Products Made?

A. Our sunscreen is developed and made in Australia.

Q. How Long Is The Shelf Life And How Should I Store Seagull Milk?

A. Seagull Milk has a shelf life of up to 2 years, so you can use it for a long time without it being affected and 'going off'. As stated on the tube, Seagull Milk should be stored under 30ºc (degrees celcius) and out of direct sunlight to protect the tube shape and formulation inside. The tube however, is made from a 5 layered design meaning that the formulation has maximum protection from external variants such as direct heat.
